6 January 1882 There is a very brief report of the crime in the Birmingham Mail Friday 6 January 1882 p.3 col.3: Charles Battle (14), labourer, to breaking into the house of Elizabeth Morris, and stealing £l2. Sentenced to one months' imprisonment and four years in a reformatory.
